At the International Scientific – Technical Conference LUBRICANTS 2017, the experts from ORLEN Południe are going to present their own experiences related to the use of a modern – and unique in Poland – installation for waste oils regeneration. The eight edition of the event, which will take place on 10-12 May in Krynica Zdrój, will be an occasion for an exchange of views between manufacturers of lubricants, distributors of research equipment and their users, as well as the representatives of science and research facilities.
ORLEN Południe experts focus above all on using the production technology of group I base oils for manufacturing higher groups of base oils, based on the experiences of Jedlicze Plant. In the previous year, together with PKN ORLEN, we performed an industrial technological test of production of group II base oils acc. to API. During the trail, we used both PKN ORLEN installations and waste oil regeneration installations, which belong to ORLEN Południe in Jedlicz. It enabled us to produce higher groups of base oils, which may allows us to expand our base oil product portfolio in the future.
The Waste Oil Regeneration Installation is the company's most modern and technologically advanced installation in Jedlicz, which allows for obtaining high quality base oils. The installation – the only of this kind in Poland – meets the requirements of Polish and European legislation in the scope of waste recycling, and its production capacity is 80,000 tons per year. The current load of the installation reached a historical record high, an yet it still has even more potential.
The International Scientific – Technical Conference is organised by the Oil and Gas Institute – National Research Institute and the Association of Oil and Motor Industries Cooperation CEC POLSKA.
