​ORLEN Południe has become a supporting partner of the 11th Convention of Oil and Gas Companies. The event organised by the Research and Technical Association of Oil and Gas Industry Engineers and Technicians (SITPNiG) will be held from 18 to 20 May 2016 at the Museum of Oil and Gas Industry in Bóbrka. 
 
The Convention will primarily focus on the challenges that the oil and gas industry must face in terms of low prices of oil and natural gas. The intention of the Convention's Organising Committee is to present as part of discussions the opinions of experts as regards an increase in the resource base of liquid raw materials in Poland, the chances for and conditions of increasing domestic production, an increase in the use of alternative fuels, ecology in the oil and gas industry, the competitiveness of Polish oil and gas companies, and the conditions for sustainable energy safety of Poland.
As an esteemed – both in Poland and Europe – manufacturer of paraffin and special waxes, ORLEN Południe will deliver a presentation on innovative production technology with respect to high-class paraffin that is based on state-of-the-art – and the only one in this part of Europe – paraffin hydro-refining facility.
 
The products obtained from such production meet the most restrictive RAL standards and feature a "cosmetic", "food", "pharmaceutic" quality that is in line with the requirements of Pharmacopeia: European and American Food and Drug Administration. All paraffin products are entered into relevant registers in accordance with the system's registration requirements.  The company offers hydro-refined paraffins, such as Crystal, semi-paraffins, mixtures, and special waxes that are addressed to various industries.
